Tyrantrum sprite

asked by
this is a bit strange, but what if you gave Tyrantrum an Assault Vest and an all out attack set?
Im currently training one as well:

Tyrantrum
Nature: relaxed. (+Def, -spd) its not the best nature but i use it as a tank.
Ev: 252 att, 252 def, 4 hp
-Poison fang, against fairy types, plus 50% chance of getting badly poisoned.
Any other suggestions for attacks?

Hows about an assault vest Tyrantrum?

Role: Bulky physical sweeper

Ability: Rock head

EVs: 252attack, 248sp def, 8def

Nature: Adamant

Item: Assault vest

Moves:

Head smash: 150 power!! and no recoil do to rock head!!

Outrage/dragon claw: Outrage has 120 power but forces you to reuse for 2-3 turns and then confuses you. Dragon claw has 80 power but no additional effects,

Earthquake: Coverage

iron head/ zen headbutt: both coverage and have chance to flinch target.

I love the Tyrantrum I designed:

Tyrantrum @ Hard Stone
Ability: Rock Head
Evs: 124 HP / 252 Atk / 132 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Head Smash
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance

Hard Stone makes Head Smash have 270 POWER (including STAB) ... devastating.
Spe EVs + Dragon Dance = Outspeed most Pokemon.
This is just so useful and powerful (for ME)

What do you think about it?

Fury (Tyrantrum) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Strong Jaw
Nature: Adamant (+Attack -Sp. Atk)
EV's: Attack, Defense and Sp. Def
Role: Tank and Physical Sweeper

  1. Crunch - Coverage against Ghost and Psychic types + Powered up with Strong Jaw.
  2. Fire Fang - Coverage against Ice, Steel, Bug and Grass types + Powered up with Strong Jaw.
  3. Rock Slide - STAB + Chance to make your Foe Flinch.
  4. Dragon Claw - STAB + Nice Power and Great Accuracy.

I know this Moveset is Different but it's a Perfect Talonflame Counter and with Special Defense EV's and an Assault Vest, it is Capable of Tanking a Mega Charizard Y's Dragon Pulse. Yes I Know Tyrantrum is a Slow Pokemon and a Flinch From Rock Slide is almost Not Guaranteed.

Tyrantrum @ Focus sash
Ability:Rock head
Nature:Jolly
EVs: Hp 4/ Speed 252/ Attack 252
Nature: Naughty
-Head Smash
-Dragon Dance/ Horn Drill
-Fire Fang
-Ice Fang/ Outrage

The main concept of this move set is to boost your attack with your ability and other stats with Dragon Dance and then Defeat them with a well played way for attack and ability to work well together.

After you have boosted your stats you can destroy everything in your path by using Head Smash, a good move for stab, which has no recoil thanks to the rock head ability. You can use the focus sash to hang on thanks to his low special defense. If you would rather take a risky but powerful side you can switch Dragon Dance for Horn Drill, a one hit KO move. Outrage is for good stab but is Head Smash is enough than you should let it use Ice Fang to make up for dragon and ground weaknesses even though it is not recommended. Fire fang is to make up for its terrible weakness against Ice and Steel type Pokemon. This is a very trolly move set because of its ability and Head Smash Working together.

This moveset is if you have a Tyrantrum from Fossil:

Tyrantrum (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Strong Jaw
Recommended Nature: Adamant ( +Atk -Sp.Atk ) - Jolly works fine too.
- Dragon Claw - STAB
- Stone Edge - STAB, High Crit Ratio, Covers Ice-type weakness
- Crunch - Gains bonus damage from Strong Jaw
- Earthquake - Great damage, Covers Steel-type weakness

This moveset is pretty simple, no set-ups required as Tyrantrum's Attack is quite high already. Your biggest threat with this moveset should be a Fairy-type, as except for the move Play Rough, all the Fairy-type moves are Special based, while Tyrantrum's Sp.Def is quite low, which will cause it to take a lot of damage from any Fairy type moves. But even so, you wouldn't want to send out Tyrantrum against a Fairy-type Pokemon. With 121 base Attack and around an additional of 12 from Adamant Nature, Tyrantrum is able to do massive damage on its opponents, even without any set-ups required.

Head Smash-style Tyrantrum @ Life Orb
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Nature: Jolly
-Dragon Dance (setup for a nasty sweep)
-Head Smash (no recoil thanks to its ability, great coverage, tons of damage, STAB)
-Dragon Claw (great coverage, covers dragon weakness, STAB)
-Earthquake (great coverage, deals with steel types)

OR:

Strong Jaw-style Tyrantrum @ Life Orb
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Nature: Jolly
-Ice Fang (boosted by its ability, great coverage, deals with dragon/earth/flying types, chance to freeze/stun)
-Fire Fang (boosted by its ability, deals with ice and steel types, chance to burn/stun)
-Poison Fang (boosted by its ability, deals with fairy/bug/grass types, chance to badly poison the opponent)
-Crunch (boosted by its ability, great coverage, deals with psychic/ghost types, chance to stun the opponent)

Full sweeper sets. Thanks to its abilities you can change a few moves and still have a good result, but I find these sets to work the best. Anyways in a general term you don't want to put Head Smash in a Tyrantrum set with Strong Jaw, or fang moves in a Rock Head Tyrantrum set.

In my opinion, this is a good moveset for Tyrantrum:

Crunch: Crunch because Tyrantrum has Strong Jaw, which basically gives Crunch STAB. It also does decent damage even without Strong Jaw.

Rock Slide: Rock Slide is a critical move with a base damage of 80, so that's a good thing. Plus, it damages both opponents in double battles.

Thrash/Head Smash: Thrash does a lot of damage, but it causes confusion, so I'd recommend Head Smash.

Dragon Rage/Dragon Claw: These moves are essential since Tyrantrum is also Dragon type. I recommend Dragon Claw personally because it does way more damage.

That is my answer. If I have any spelling mistakes, please feel free to tell me, and, if you disagree, please give your opinions because that will help me make my Tyrantrum better.

When posting a moveset, you're supposed to also suggest the EVs, IVs, Nature, item, and ability that works with your moveset.
Also, I edited your answer to fix a few grammar and spelling issues and make it easier to understand.

Tyrantrum @Hard Stone
Ability: Rock Head
Evs: 252Atk 252Spe 4HP
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Dragon Dance (Setting up to sweep)
Head Smash (Power, no recoil)
Earthquake (When do you not use this?)
Iron Head/Tail (Coverage)

Self-explanatory - switch in, set up with D-Dance, and proceed to sweep. If anything can resist a +3 Atk Head Smash, they definitely can't take a +4!

Raw POWER in the form of a prehistoric dino!

Tyrantrum @Hard Stone
Ability: Rock Head
Evs: 252Atk 200Spe 58Def
Nature: Adamant
Dragon Dance (Stats, useful for killing)
