Scar
Litleo (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Atk / 132 SpD / 180 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Return
- Flame Charge
- Wild Charge
- Work Up

Well here is a Little Cup moveset for Litleo. Now I know most of you would scold me for using a physical set instead of special, but because special sets are so common it what makes this one so good. First you start off by using Work Up to raise your Attack and Special Attack, mostly attack. Then you Flame Charge which is STAB and raises your speed, where if you get off two or three you will pretty much outspeed anything without a scarf and most things with a scarf. We have Return as a secondary STAB move that hits other fire types decently after a few Moxie boost. Finally there is Wild Charge to hit those annoying water types that like to run around the LC metagame. Adamant or Jolly is your choice as speed or power.

There is an LC Litleo moveset question.
Notice how i posted this 7 days before that question even came up.
I did not notice that, as I didn't look at the date. I was just telling you in case you didn't know.

Pokenubz (Pyroar) @ Choice Specs / Life Orb
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ice
- Hyper Voice
- Will-O-Wisp / Flamethrower

Okay so Pyroar's good special attack and speed let you kill things. Specs STAB Fire Blast OHKOs Aegislash which is very nice. Hyper Voice is secondary STAB, hitting types which resist Fire pretty hard, and Hidden Power Ice rounds it off, even with the lowered power still hitting the dragons which are 4x weak to ice hard. The final slot is a tossup between Wil-o-wisp and Flamethrower really - Will-O-Wisp would probably work better on a Life Orb set while Flamethrower on the specs set as an alternative attack with higher accuracy to utilise. Dark Pulse is another option, but Fire Blast outdamages a super effective Dark Pulse so that's useless. Abilitywise, Unnerve is the safest, with Moxie being useless on a special attacker and Rivalry being conditional and also having a possible negative effect.
Kyron likes this pokeman too much. >.>

Yay you named it after me :3
Would suggest the use of HP Grass when it goes down to NU (which it obviously will).
HP Grass is better lol

Pyroar (F)
Ability: Rivalry
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Voice
- Dark Pulse
- Attract

Fire Blast: STAB, main attack.
Hyper Voice: STAB, secondary attack.
Dark Pulse: Coverage
Attract: Rivalry kicks in for other females and Attract is for males, so you are covered for both male and female Pokemon essentially.

Wouldn't it be better to use male with rivalry and attract? Most people I've seen use male pokemon. Just saying.

Pyroar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature

  • Flamethrower
  • Endeavour
  • Dark Pulse
  • Hyper Voice

OK, this one is the worst Fire-type Pokémon I've ever seen. I think Magcargo is still better. Bref, Flamethrower is basically used 85 % of the time, as being a STAB. Simple as that. Hyper Voice is a STAB, but is lesser powerful than Flamethrower. Pyroar can pull off some good damage, but is otherwise outclassed. Other than that, Dark Pulse is an option, because that heck Pyroar cannot use better and finally Endeavour reduces the HP to 1 once the sash was used. That's it.

Fire Blast over Flamethrower
Pyroar is no where close to being the worst fire type. Having a shallow movepool doesnt make a pokemon terrible, just not as great as others
Pyroar is probably going to end up being the best fast Special Attacking Fire type in NU (if Delphox isn't NU that is) since Charizard is now too powerful for the tier. Now that role isn't really enough in my opinion to warrant it seeing a decent amount of play in NU, but I can see it having a bit of use here and there. Main competition is Simisear, which has worse stats but has a stat boosting move in its place.
Work Up :P
You are right. But I dislike it.
This set is by far my favorite also I am using it on my Pyroar and its awsome
Uh flamethrower has the same exact power as hyper voice, it used to be 95 base power before x and y but this was x and y when this question was asked.

Speedy Special Attacker

Pyroar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 200 SpA / 252 Spe / 56 SpD
Modest / Timid Nature
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Flamethrower
- Hyper Voice

  • Sunny Day (Powers up fire moves)
  • Solar Beam (Done in one turn from Sunny Day, covers rock, water and ground weaknesses)
  • Flamethrower (STAB)
  • Hyper Voice/Bounce (STAB/Covers fighting weakness)

I like this set a lot. Solarbeam covers 3/4 weaknesses and bounce can be learned via move tutor in oras to take out fourth. Sunny Day has two good uses by powering flamethrower and helping one turn solarbeam. Hope you like!

Pyroar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve
Evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Hyper Voice
- Dark Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp

  • Flamethrower- STAB and higher accuracy than Fire Blast.
  • Hyper Voice- STAB and can go through Substitutes.
  • Dark Pulse- Good coverage for the Ghost-types which Hyper Voice can't hit.
  • Will O Wisp- With Pyroar's Speed it can make first move a lot of times and this move can cripple those Ground-, Rock-, Fighting-types and also the common Gyarados.

Echoed Voice Pyroar:

Pyroar @ Metronome
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4 Spe
Modest Nature

  • Echoed Voice
  • Flamethrower
  • Hyper Voice
  • Noble Roar

Basically, you spam Echoed Voice to get it's boosts, also boosted by STAB and metronome. If you are worried you don't have the bulk to boost echoed voice, or get a OHKO with it on your first turn, use Flamethrower, also STAB boosted. Hyper Voice is for fire resistant Pokemon that you don't have the bulk to Echoed Voice to death. It's rare you'll need to use Hyper Voice, as Echoed Voice and Flamethrower are good enough for most things. Noble Roar lowers the attack and sp.atk of your opponents, so you aren't KOed as easy, so you are asfer when Echoed Voicing. This is especially good against stat boosters, as you don't risk being KOed while you echoed voice, and it's boost helps overpower your opponents if it's Sp.Def. It's unfortunate he doesn't have much bulk, as this set would be even better if he did.

Pyroar @ Normal Gem
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Noble Roar / Will-O-Wisp
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower
- Hyper Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Singles use. only should be used in mid-game. Don't lead off with Pyroar. Great to take out for big threats to teams in my opinion even though he is NU tier. Noble Roar is for those I know that will stay in or Will-O-Wisp for strong physical sweepers to force switches on your opponents team.

Gen 7 NU

Pyroar @ Choice Specs / Grassium Z
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Solar Beam / Hidden Power [Grass]

Hyper Voice is STAB. Flamethrower is also STAB that deals with steel types. Dark Pulse is ghost type coverage. Hidden Ice is for coverage. Solarbeam or HP Grass can be used instead, but if you choose Solarbeam, you'll need to use Grassium-Z for a one time grass move nuke to deal with rock and water types.

Gen 9 NU Stallbreaker

Pyroar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unnerve
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Voice
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp

Pyroar has use in Gen 9 NU as a fast Fire-type that can stallbreak Pokemon with Taunt. Pyroar's STAB moves Hyper Voice and Fire Blast are good in NU due to the lack of Pokemon who can resist/switch into both STAB moves. Taunt lets Pyroar shut down defensive Pokemon such as Blissey and Sandaconda by preventing them from using their utility moves. Will-O-Wisp is used to burn physical wallbreakers switching in and is useful to force chip damage on opposing Pokemon. Tera Ghost is nice to turn Pyroar's Fighting weakness into an immunity and can make Blissey unable to touch you if you Taunt Blissey as it switches in, then Tera to prevent it from using Seismic Toss.
