I think I worded that wrong. Protect and fake out both have priority of +3. So if for example an Ambipom uses fake out and Gliscor uses protect, will Ambipom attack first?

No, Protect will go first since it has a Speed Priority of +4

Protect: It enables the user to evade all attacks. Its chance of
failing rises if it is used in succession.

Protect and Fake Out never had the same priority.

Prior to Generation V, Fake Out and Protect was +1 and +3, respectively.
Post Generation V, Fake Out and Protect was +3 and +4, respectively.

So yeah, Protect would still go first.
