Does the eviolite still work on fully trained Pokemon?

i know that the eviolite increases the defences of the Pokemon tat can still evolve. but wat if for e.g. an inkay. you fully train it as in max out atk n another stat n you let it hold the eviolite. does it still increase the defences when it turns to a malamar?

Inkay will always have the Eviolite boost. Its EVs do not matter at all. However, if you evolve Inkay into Malamar, then it will not keep the 1.5x Defence and Special Defence boost from the Eviolite. The Eviolite only works on Pokemon that can still evolve. Malamar cannot evolve, thus it does not get a boost from the Eviolite.
