Let's just say that in a double battle I send out gourgeist knowing trick or treat and Trevenant knowing forest curse. What if they use those moves against one Pokemon, like quagsire for example, will quagsire be a water/ground/ghost/grass type? Or will one of the moves fail?

>If the target already has an additional type added to it by Forest's Curse, that type is replaced with the Ghost type.

In conclusion? No a Pokemon cannot have 4 types at once. The maximum will be 3 types. The effects of Forest's Curse and Trick-or-treat will counteract each other, and the one which goes second will override the first one.
