I lead her through wayword cave and she didn't do anything.What reason is she in the game.

All of these people you meet and team up with throughout the game will become available partners, in case you ever want to run partner battles in the Battle Tower.

It's basically just a huge gimmick, in that sense, but it's still cool, I guess.
