How do CAP tournaments work?

Do they need 6 CAP Pokemons, or can I participate with 6 normal Pokemon that aren't CAP?

In CAP (Create -A-Pokemon) tournaments,

Just about every Pokemon works.

You can make a Pokemon of any choice, and customise in any manner you please. There are a few bans as far as I've heard though.
