It's known that if you have full affection (five hearts) with any Pokemon in Pokemon Amie, that they can heal their own sleep, frozen, burn, paralysis or poison status condition, and also it can trigger a Sturdy ability-type of move where it survives a brutal attack with one HP, but what is the chance of this being triggered in said events?

For the second part of your question: No. Happiness and Affection are not related at all. I don't know the answer to the first part, though which is why I'm not answering.
The World May Never Know
Well I googled for 15 min and found nothing.  And I'm too lazy to test it :P
I'd test this, but I don't have anywhere near the drive to try it. :P
Not again D:
This is just a guess. Also Bulbapedia says that there is a CHANCE of shaking off status conditions.
I don't think nobody knows what are the chances, but I think that are really high.
I'm not sure about my conversion on this one, so I'll outline why;
1. Guess with little backing
2. I think it would be best to see if someone will actually run tests on it.
3. Could be answerable through looking at the coding (Ninja's job o3o)
Yeah, nobody knows, just test it.
Oh no you don't ;-;
Oh, another one of these stupid questions. Here we friggin go again.
I am obsessed with Pokemon Amie so I guess I could try do this somehow... I definitely know the answer to the second question, Affection and Friendship have no connection whatsoever. Like, there's none. The internet basically confirms this.

And have any of you above actually owned a five-heart affection Pokemon? I maxed out my Sylveon's affection for the sake of it, and it rarely shook off status conditions. The chance is 5% at the most, I bet.
I have alright (Aggron) but it's never had a status condition before, so I don't know :/
Um, it's not stupid Indigo -.-
I seriously need to know this.
I have a Dragonite, but it has never had a Status Condition

*Qwerty says, "Copycat"*
Qwerty types - I have a Dragonite, but it has never had a Status Condition

^ QWerty used Copy cat
I have many pokes with 5 hearts and they get off status conditions and land crits all the time (crits are also pokemon amie affection stuff). Surviving KOs with one HP is much less common but it happens too.
I mayybe could actually test this but i dunno : w

I just like to think it's luck based and not bother my brain thinking about this kinda stuff : P
How long will this be unanswered
I am curently running in-game tests so I have not been able to be as active as I wanted to be.
Amie has saved some of my nuzlockes, but I never heard of status conditions being cured from it

My comment has been Scraf'd up and I can't be bothered reverting it.
According to my source it has an at least 50% accuracy, meaning that it will heal at the end of the turn if it has 5/5 affection. Also this guy who has tested it said that the chance might also be greater than this.

All of us now love you! :D
What a reliable source. And "at least 50%" isn't a proper answer.
1. He tested it 4 times, which is not even close to reliable enough
2. He said it worked all 4 times, and made a wild guess at 50% or more. That doesn't even make sense.
So we must assume this is unanswerable?
I searched bulbapedia,  barely any Info, so I didn't want to post a unhelpful answer ^w^
It's not unanswerable, if we use coding and game-hacking to find it or SEVERAL tests, like for the Hidden Ability chance of Horde Pokemon question.
Why would you need to know this? In game Amie is pointless to calculate as even with a 99% of happening, it may fail. In competetive Amie is disabled so it is pointless there as well :/
I wouldn't like to know when it happens. But,when it does I'll be happier as it is a Surprise :)
@Mr Gamaken: I want to know because this is important, it's not a little trivia question. What's your deal anyway?
Nothing. Now that's it been answered it doesn't really matter. Knowing why you would want to ask this wasn't against you.

Best answer

It is 69%

Just kidding, let's get serious.

I tested this, only took me half an hour.

I tested this 50 times using a Flame Orb, not including the first turn when the Pokémon is inflicted with a burn. Out of those 50, 15 times the Pokémon healed itself and 35 times the Pokémon didn't. So contrary to popular belief, there is probably a lower chance of it healing than not.

Because I did it 50 times, I will times both numbers by two, to get it out of 100:

15 x 2 = 30
35 x 2 = 70

So there probably around a 30% chance that the Pokémon will restore its own status condition, and a 70% chance that it will not.

This is also backed up by the fact that this is the same chance of reeling a Pokémon in with a rod.

If you want me do it 100 times, that's fine, but I'm sure this is close.

Edit: I did it another 50 times; the Pokémon healed itself 11 times and did not 39 times. So if we add this to the original numbers:

11 + 15 = 26
39 + 35 = 74

So the chances are 26% of healing and 74% or not, so the actual chance is probably in between 25-30% for curing the condition.

Also your theory is kind of wrong, because the flipping of a coin is up to physics, not exact coding, so it depends on how hard you flip the coin and what kind of surface it hits. If you flipped a coin 100 times with the exact same power and on the exact same surface, the result should be close to 50/50. Because there is an exact same chance of the Pokémon healing itself every time, same circumstances, then if you test it the rough chance should come out.
Not really.
Probability rules means that technically, each time a Pokemon heals or doesn't heal themself, there's an increased or decreased chance of it happening again, since it happening twice in a row is obviously lower than just once.

Also, close to 50/50 has alot of variation. It can easily go to something like 60-40 which is an entirely different chance compared to 50/50.
Also, editted to clarify some things.
I'll keep it for a while and see if any more answers come.
Congrats Crimson u answered properly:)
