How do I receive the Shiny Beldum event?

ORAS's page says it will be distrubuted over Nintendo Network, but I don't really understand (or remember) what that means.

Just access Mystery Gift, and check that you want to receive your gift over the Internet. The usual way you get Mystery Gifts.
