is it good to have a metronome mew I like that it's unpredictable and could use great moves but it has chances of tail whip or growl or something like momento or self destruct if this isn't a good move what about me first it doubles attack power but fails if not faster than opponenet or worst like for example I use me first on an aggron with rock slide and I use rock slide on an aggron which does little damage usually the move I would be doing me first to the Pokemon resists it or should I just have transform which is ok I guess or niether of these moves?

Metronome is a terrible move to use competitively.
In-game, it's an absolute hoot to use.
Otherwise? Nope.

Me First is bad as well. What if they use a status move? That would suck.

Transform isn't reliable, and shouldn't be used competitively either.

Here's a Mew set I would use:

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 Spe
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off

metronome is bad for the following reasons.

  1. most of the moves it can be are useless, what with most weak moves that do the same thing being counted as separate, for example tail whip and leer.

  2. even if it is a good move it would be the wrong type, most Pokemon have about 3 weakness, 2 resistances and 1 immunity. that is a 0.16% chance of a good type, 0.11% of a bad, 0.05 of a useless, 0.27 of an okay, and 0.05 of STAB, if it is even an attacking moves!

  3. it could be a specialty or suicide move. like explosion, healing wish, or heal pulse.

Mew already has access to every tm hm and move tutur (minus dragon ascend, blast burn, frenzy plant, and hydro pump) just use that. I get it though, there is nothing like the feel of using metronome on an in-game gym leader and scoring a random magma storm, or roar of time, but you can also get a splash and lose.

hope I helped.
