I got a Happiny (going to evolve to Blissey) but I'm EV training it right now. It has a Bold (-Att, +Def) Nature and I'm maxing it's Defense (252 EV's). Here's where my question comes in:

Blissey has already pretty good Special Defense even without training or investing on it so I was thinking of using some points on her HP instead so that leftovers can heal a bit more. So I was thinking of doing,
- 252 Def
- 128 HP
- 128 Sp. Def

I'm not sure if I should go with that or just do 252 on Def and HP and 4 on Sp. Def or if it's just better to go with the usual 252 Def/SpDef and 4 HP

What do you guys think?

Looks fine. And with Leftovers, gonna be a good wall.
Splitting EVs into 128/128 is never good. Go all for one stat (Defense or Sp. Defense).
So I should just go with 252 HP and Def?
Yeah, that's what most Blissey run.

Blissey Damage Calcs:

>252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 252 HP / 128 Def Blissey: 630-742 (88.2 - 103.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

--

>252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 466-550 (65.2 - 77%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

--

>252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 394-464 (55.1 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

--

>252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 128 Def Blissey: 532-626 (74.5 - 87.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

And here's Chansey (w/ Eviolite)

>252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 128 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 313-369 (46.5 - 54.8%) -- 64.5% chance to 2HKO

--
>252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 438-516 (62.2 - 73.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

--

>252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 368-434 (52.2 - 61.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

--

>252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 128 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 262-310 (38.9 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

--

>252 Atk Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 262-310 (37.2 - 44%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Final things I would like to conclude with:

  • Ditch Blissey. Eviolite Chansey all the way.
  • 252 Defense/ 252 Special Defence/ 4 HP is a very good idea.
  • 128 Defense does not work.
  • Your HP, to be honest does not change things all that much, so put more into Defences. Plus you have Wish support, so that's going for you.

+1 for using Mega Lopunny.
Wait.....not investing in HP for Blissey? What reality is this.
The reality of Damage calculations.. Extra EVs in HP wont help it survive another strong Physical move. 2HKO moves remain 2HKO, and OHKO moves remain OHKO.
The High Jump Kick damage calculations are non-mega lopunny, so they lack the extra 60 base attack stats+STAB. Mega Lopunny KOs every variant of Blissey and only fails to KO 252 HP / 252+ Def Chansey, but still does 82.6 - 97.4% to that.
Deary me! Why did I not see this sooner?! Thanks a ton, Aeternis :3

[What do I do now? Change it all? Or leave it be? Since basically, the point was too many HP Evs ain't all that good. If a Mega-Lopunny does come into play, no way is Blissey/ Eviolite Chansey going to say in, right? Still, if I have to edit this, let me know.]

In retrospect, "Deary me!" sounds .... weird. Oh well. You all know what I mean.

Blissey's Special bulk is already out-of-this world without investment, so I suggest you run the EV spread that every Blissey and her mother runs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD. This patches up her awful Physical bulk as best as possible, and as I stated before, her Special side doesn't need buffing.
