Why is the Pokemon Adventures manga still translated into English even though TPCi doesn't seem to acknowledge it?

In the Pokemon 20 time slider there is nothing about which year(It was 1998 though)it was released in. Only a few Pokemon fans even know about the manga.

The Manga and the Anime are different stories completely. Also... Pokemon die in the Manga... brutally. It is for a different type of person completely.

That is because it is licensed by Vis Media in the States.
