No, actually, a Lv. 100 can probably sweep most of the game on its own up until the high Elite 4 or Champion, depending on the Pokémon (obviously not Sunkern). Mythical Pokémon aren't a guaranteed win condition, but seeing as most have well-rounded stats, types and move pools, they fare really well in-game.
