Best way to train for Elite 4 in Red version?

Question

I'm playing Red (3DS virtual console) and I'm at the Elite 4 but my Team is having trouble Leveling up. I'd like to get them between levels 53-58 but its a constant struggle for like 300 exp at a time on Victory Road.

My team is:
Venusaur Lv49
Arcanine Lv50
Snorlax Lv48
Starmie Lv48
Electabuzz Lv48
Articuno Lv50

I have already asked this question. Most answers say that the E4 itself is a good source of EXP, and defeating them can give you strategies while you level up. For future reference, please search questions before you ask them.
