How do I get yellow flute (in leaf green) without buying it at the Game Corner?

Hi! I'm new here, so please forgive me if the post is a little clumsy.

I am a casual player of Pokemon, but I've played the games that I have (mostly Leaf Green) several times, and it's one of mye absolute favorite games. I am trying to figure out how I've gotten the yellow flute in the past, but I just can't seem to remember. I'm quite certain I didn't buy it - not once. I did a quick google search and couldn't find any questions about this, so I thought I'd ask here. So I hope someone can help me.

The Yellow Flute is unfortunately only available in Leaf Green through the Game Corner. However, an alternative option you could use is getting it in Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald through the Route 113 Glass Workshop,through Pokemon XD through the S.S. Libra,give it to a Pokemon, and trade it over to your Leaf Green.

I think pokemondb's description of the yellow flute made me extra skeptical of the notion that I bought it; it says: "A maniac will buy it for a high price" hehe.
