You can still trade Event Pokemon through direct 1 on 1 trades, even over the internet.  However, for whatever reason, GameFreak decided they didn't want to allow you to Wonder Trade, or use the GTS, to do so.

If you have gotten a Pokemon from a Event, it comes in a red Pokeball called a cherish ball. If a Pokemon is in a cherish ball, It most likely cannot be transported to the GTS, or Wonder Traded. However, you can usually 1 on 1 trade a event Pokemon.
Hope I helped!

So why can other people do it then
Those are hackers. Don't trade with them, they usually offer hacked pokemon.

Thats why they made certain Pokemon, like Mew, unable to be sent to the GTS for trade completely.
okay. so why do 80% of the people ask for a genesect/meloetta then lol... :p
Because 99.999999785% of all GTS traders are just trolling tbh. The system is terrible.

Event Pokémon come is a special red poké ball called a Cherish ball, and carry a ribbon called the Classic ribbon. This ribbon prevents Pokémon from events from being traded in a Wondertrade or on the GTS. Some people have hacked event Pokémon to remove the ribbon, and thus been able to trade these event Pokémon. Once the ribbon is removed, it can be traded like any other Pokémon.

Event Pokémon can still be traded by directly trading with a player.

Not all event Pokemon come with a Classic Ribbon. I've gotten many ORAS event Pokemon without Classic Ribbons and, still, I can't trade them.
I meant the Mythicals that the question is about. Normal Pokémon can trade fine
