The only explanation is cheating, like Distorted said. The database cannot fix errors such as these, and I would recommend restarting your adventure completely since glitches like these may occur again in the future, even if you manage a work around somehow.
This was likely caused by an Action Replay, or another third party software that alters your game. Action Replay and other hacking devices can corrupt your game easily. This could've also been caused from the tweaking glitch, which people used to get old events that are no longer available, but this is far less likely.
