Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 98 Def / 158 Def
Sassy / Relaxed Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast / Toxic
- Leech Seed
- Protect

This set allows this guy to handle a variety of special attackers and to be able to heal itself over time in battles. Heavy Slam provides nice Physical STAB which has a base power of 120 due to Celesteela's ridiculous weight. Flamethrower and Fire Blast are there to take down opponents like Scizor, Ferrothorn, Kartana, and Genesect. Toxic takes down bulkier targets like Landorus-Therian, Slowbro, and Hippowdon as they can easily tank anything Celesteela has. Leech Seed together with Leftovers allows Celesteela to heal for Hp overtime and to allow him to last longer in battles with more bulk. Protect also allow him to heal for more Hp without the opponent attacking. Max EVs in Hp and the rest in Defence and Special Defence boost his bulk nicely.

Fantastic set, I've been using it with Flamethrower and it walls a huge portion of the meta. I've had games where it hard counters almost an entire team, it's typing really is a blessing. I think full SpD EV's are probably better though since, from experience, the majority of it's offensive threats rn are SpA attackers.
I prefer to put the remaining EVs in Defence so that it can withstand some physical hits.
Celesteela and Skarmory DO NOT compare. Skarmory has access to hazard, Defog support, Whirlwind, Roost, a powerful Flying-type STAB and Counter, to name a few of its gems. Celesteela, in comparison, has no hazard, no hazard removal, no phazing move, no reliable recovery outside of the hazardous Leech Seed and Leftovers, and finally the weak Air Slash, in fact so weak that Flamethrower is the better choice.
This is not to say Celesteela is inferior to Skarmory, but to say they do not compare. If I said Celesteela sucks, I'd be lying. Celesteela has much stats and distribution than Skarmory, it has some nifty tools, an AMAZING ability and excellent stalling potential.
Celesteela surpasses Skarmory as a stalling Pokemon, but it fails to phaze out enemies, remove hazards, sustain itself reliably, place said hazards or even work as an absolute physical wall. Skarmory looks more specialist, but again, it lacks Celesteela's better overall bulk, movepool and stats.
Is SpD Speed or Special Defense??

So, according to Pokemon Showdown  it's Special Defense. But I've seen some sets that use Electro Ball say SpD at EVs, but it's timid nature and by Timid it says (+Spd, -Atk). So, it can be anything, but it's mostly Special Defense, and you should use common sense to figure it out.

Flash cannon and Air Slash are STAB (the latter also has a chance to flinch). Automize raises speed (stat drops/boosts don't change that stat that would usually rise) allowing it to sweep more efficiently. Flamethrower is for steel types that can wall this.

Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 96 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Meteor Beam
- Fire Blast
- Protect

This should be used with Tailwind support. Flash Cannon is steel STAB that deals with Gigalith, Tapu Bulu, and Kyurem with ease. Meteor Beam raises Celesteela's special attack by one stage and can potentially catch a Victini or Volcarona off guard (don't try if you don't have Tailwind up), and doesn't need to charge thanks to Power Herb. This should only be used once per match, but you could use it a second time if you're trying to predict a Protect from the opponent (or you flinched them with an ally Pokémon's Fake Out). Fire Blast is coverage which melts steel types. Protect allows Celesteela to block all attacks for a turn while it's ally Pokémon can still attack or set up. 160 speed EVs allow Celesteela to outspeed Spectrier while Tailwind is up.

I really didn't feel like making another Rest/Sleep Talk set so I came up with this. I wanted to be able to heal as much as possible without an actual recovery move. The EVs have as much defense as possible while still giving the Beast Boost to Special Attack (Higher Special Attack=stronger Giga Drain=more healing).

Celesteela is a godlike Pokemon. Imagine a Pokemon with every stat bar speed (which can be neutralised with Autototmize) being around 100. And with Leech Seed,Leftovers, Ingrain and Giga Drain for recovery. And the ability to boost every stat with its ability. And an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes and a neutrality to Stealth Rock. And an immunity to Toxic. Plus the typing of Skarmory. Now that's exactly what Celesteela is. Only 2 weaknesses and literally resisting 70%! Isn't that insane! Oh.....and its design is also awesome :)

Defensive Celesteela will get the Def boost from Beast Boost which is just scary. It has Special Attacks because attacking Pokemon usually have lower SpD than Def so that it has an easier time getting Beast Boosts. Leech Seed is the best recovery option for it and paired with Giga Drain and Leftovers, it gives her enough recovery. Protect is just to stall out some HP.

Careful Nature

Special Defensive Celesteela will get the SpD boost from Beast Boost which is just scary. It has Attacks because Special attacking Pokemon usually have lower Def than SpD so that it has an easier time getting Beast Boosts. Leech Seed is its best recovery option and paired with Leftovers, it gives decent recovery. Protect is to stall out HP. I recommend you use the Special Defensive set and not the Defensive one because Thunderbolt and Flamethrower are just more frequent than Wild Charge and Flare Blitz.

Autotomize boosts it to great speed tiers and the rest is obvious. Flash Cannon is STAB, Flamethrower is for Steel Types and Giga Drain is recovery as well as damage.

This is a good combo, as heavy slam would dish out good damage due to it being a STAB, and beast boost will boost it further. Also, flame charge could take out steel types, as well as grass types and ice types that would otherwise do serious damage. Earthquake is coverage against electric types, but it is advised to use flame charge before an electric type comes out, as they are usually fast. Explosion was just put in as a placeholder, I just threw it in as a last resort.

Well,I caught my Celesteela SHINY and it has a JOLLY nature.So,I have made a new Celesteela moveset(because iit was shiny LOL)

  • Rock Slide / Earthquake / Seed Bomb(Choose 2 out of 3)
  • Flame Charge (boosts speed makes it easier to sweep)

Almost forgot, this is a sweep set up so if you really wanna sweep, be sure to put light screen and reflect so it can survive longer.

Wide guard is great for any doubles format and what better use for it than on the monster Celesteela. With leech seed your sapping health away every turn. Z corkscrew crash is for Tapu Koko, or Lele

Air slash over Flash Cannon for STAB. flinch chance makes for a better overall run and counters bulu well. Flamethrower is coverage for Kartana, Ferrothorn. Leech seed is recovery stall in tandem with leftovers.

Pretty simple. Automize boosts your speed along with your attack stat. When Weakness Policy activates, STAB Acrobatics gets double power. Heavy Slam is also STAB. Earthquake provides coverage for Celesteela.

Gen 8 SS Monotype Defensive + Air Slash (Steel)

Relaxed Nature
- Heavy Slam

This is the standard defensive set Celesteela uses on steel teams, but with one different move. Heavy Slam can do quite a bit of damage due to Celesteela's weight. Leech Seed lets you slowly wear down opposing Pokemon and gives you some recovery. Protect allows Celesteela to scout for choice locked Pokemon and see what moves a Pokemon has. Protect works well with Leech Seed, as Celesteela can get a free turn of Leftovers and Leech Seed recovery. Usually, Celesteela would run either Flamethrower or Toxic on this set for steel teams. However, this would allow Sub IronPress Kommo-o to setup vs. Celesteela and proceed to 6-0 steel teams. This moveset has Air Slash, which is used to prevent Kommo-o from 6-0ing steel teams with its Sub IronPress set. Air Slash also lets you hit Urshifu Rapid-Strike super effectively, which is nice.

Gen 8 SS Monotype AutoSteela (Flying/Steel)

Timid Nature
- Autotomize
- Air Slash / Flash Cannon
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake / Giga Drain

This is the Automize set Celesteela uses in SS Monotype. Automize raises Celesteela's speed, which can help it sweep teams. Air Slash / Flash Cannon is for STAB. Air Slash lets you hit Pokemon such as Araquanid and Kommo-o super effectively, while Flash Cannon is useful for Pokemon such as Kyurem and Mamoswine. Flamethrower targets Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Scizor, Corviknight, and opposing Celesteela. Earthquake is used to 2HKO Heatran and Galarian Slowking, Pokemon who would otherwise wall this moveset. Giga Drain can be used instead for a way of HP recovery and is useful against Pokemon such as Swampert and Gastrodon if you use Flash Cannon for your STAB move. Leftovers is used as the item since it gives Celesteela some HP recovery and can allow Celesteela to bluff a defensive set. Naive/Hasty nature can be used instead of Timid Nature if you don't want Earthquake's power to be lowered, but the 2HKO for the targets mentioned is what Earthquake is there for.
