Is Excadrill a sweeper?

Yes, Excadrill is a sweeper. With that ability and that speed and attack stat, it can't be anything else. If you're using it as a wall, you're doing it wrong.

I was using him as a sweeper.  Can you suggest a good moveset for him?  Mine is level 51 and it knows Shadow Claw, Earthquake, Hone Claws, and Brick Break

Swords Dance, Earthquake, X-Scissor, and Rock Slide. Shadow Claw is fine, but I prefer X-Scissor.
