I'm wondering if Zeraora's Plasma Fists work like any of these...

  • Like Ion Deluge, whereas it changes Normal to Electric for the turn it's used...
  • Changes Normal to Electric for the rest of the battle until Zeraora switches or faints...
  • Changes the move types for the whole battle...

I would like to know if any of the above are correct, or if something else happens upon use, thanks.

According to Serebii ( https://www.serebii.net/attackdex-sm/plasmafists.shtml ), Plasma Fists affect's the target's Normal type moves. I'm not posting this as an answer because It does not clarify whether this effect lasts for the rest of the turn, the rest of the battle, or anything else, but it does specifically say the target's moves.
This basically sounds like Electrify/Ion Deluge, but as a physical damage-dealing move.

According to what happens in Showdown, it works like the first scenario. It changes Normal-type moves to Electric-type moves for the duration of the turn. It affects all moves in doubles. I couldn't test how it works in triples, but I imagine it would affect all moves as well (like Ion Deluge).
