  • What is the smile? (I thought it meant the Pokemon was immune, but when I check their summary it says they have it.)
  • Doesn't it raise stat gain? (I leveled up my Zebstrika when it had the disease and it had normal stat gains.)

Pokerus is a virus that is very contagious and can spread to Pokemon in your party. It doubles your EV gains, so it is a useful thing to have if you want to EV train. It is temporary.

If a Pokémon has a smiley face, it means that Pokémon is cured from Pokerus. A Pokémon with a smiley face won’t get inflicted with Pokerus again. However, EV gains are still doubled.

It should be mentioned that a Pokémon that has been cured of Pokerus still gets its EVs doubled, it just can't spread Pokerus to other Pokémon anymore.
