Let’s say you are poisoned and or toxic’d. You’re either a protean mon’ like Greninja or a conversion mon’ like Porygon. So then, you use either gunk shot or conversion from toxic. Now you’re a poison type. Does the poison status go away or does it stay? And if it stays, does it heal the Pokemon? I assume not with such abilities as corrosion

This is pretty much the same situation as becoming a steel type while poisoned, as you'll stay poisoned no matter what type. Only way to heal from the status is with a Berry or a move like Heal Bell

In general, Steel- and Poison-type Pokémon cannot be poisoned. However, they can be poisoned by Pokémon with the Corrosion Ability. Additionally, in Generation II, the move Twineedle can poison Steel-type Pokémon. If a Pokémon is poisoned while not Poison- or Steel-type (such as while affected by a type-changing move or before evolving into a Poison-type or Steel-type Pokémon), it will remain poisoned.

The Pokémon will stay poisoned and take Poison Damage, unless they also gain the ability Immunity or have the ability Poison Heal. :P
