I'm new to competitive. Recently started it. What tier would you recommend to me?

So that it's not overwhelming and confusing

I always battled in Pokémon but I started playing real competive in AG on Showdown. Just went in with a few Pokémon in mind. After a few weeks I had a good enough idea of what to do. After a year, I had changed most of my Pokémon and all their held items. It all depends on how much fun you wanna have. (Some people like UU or OU but I think that it’s always nice to play a game move where your ExtremeKiller Arceus will protect your win streak).
Go OU because its the basically the standard competitive mode, you can use most pokemon except for overpowered legendaries since they are banned. Uber if you want everything unbanned. Anything Goes if you want everything and Mega Rayquaza unbanned, and without rules and clauses like only one of a pokemon on a team.
OU is technically not the most popular format, but I'd say it has the most resources and is the easiest to learn. Here are some of the resources that you can read whenever you want. https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/competitive-battling-faq.3545934/ https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/learning-resources-for-beginners-sm-edition.3602516/ https://www.smogon.com/forums/forums/overused.387/

Thanks a lot!

@Gekky

Wow I didn't know that! Thanks!

@sumwun

Thanks a lot for ur help. This will be useful!
yeah, you should try OU first, probably on showdown first to take away the grinding
mainly OU consists of most viable pokemon, excluding overpowered legendaries, broken mega evolutions and some other really good pokemon like blaziken
if you want to use these pokes, go for Uber and if you want to face and use mega rayquazas, evasiveness teams and just broken and annyign stuff, Anything goes.
check around smogon for a better idea

Depends on what you wanna play.

Use showdown first if you wanna try competitive.

If you really don’t know much about competitive try UU or OU. People playing Uber generally run specific sets that if you aren’t prepared for will take out your entire team.

I'll point out that UU's banlist depends on what OU players are using, while OU's banlist doesn't depend on any usage stats, so OU changes much less often than UU.
