How do you teach Meloetta Relic Song?

Question

I hacked a meloetta into the game then afterwards I went to the cafe so it could learn relic song, but when I talk with the guy nothing happened. He didn't ask if I wanted to listen to his song I did this multiple times and nothing happen, can someone help?

Also, if the player brings an event Meloetta to Café Sonata in Castelia City, a musician will teach it Relic Song.

From what I got from this, I’m guessing it has to be a legit Meloetta and because you hacked it in it’s not going to let you teach said Meloetta Relic Song. (Ps.
Why didn’t you just hack relic song on to the Meloetta?)
