What type damage does a dual type Pokemon card do?

Question

So do you pick or does it hit weakness or what? For those who don't know in tcg effectiveness is determined by a Pokemons type not attacks.

A duel type hit both, no said in picking a single typing among them. If let said Suicune & Entei Legend attack Virizion, then double because Fire typing weakness. Obviously, the opposite is true, if a Pikachu Zekrom GX attack, then double to Suicune & Entei Legend because Lightning typing weakness.

Do you know what happens if the opponent resists one type and is weak to the other?
