When is Pokémon Home going to be released?

Question

I just want to know when I'm going to be able to transfer Pokémon to Sword and Shield. On that note, how soon can you transfer Pokémon from Home into those two games? Do you have to have the Pokedex first, like with Pokémon Bank?
