Grookey @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Wood Hammer / Knock Off

Grassy Glide + Grassy Terrain + Choice Band destroys even resists. Drain Punch for Pawniard. U-turn for momentum. Wood Hammer for outside of Grassy Terrain (might not be necessary since Grookey is the only terrain setter in the tier) or Knock Off to remove items like Berry Juice.

Nice set, Nebby! :)
Thanks

Grookey @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 196 HP, 236 Atk, 76 Def
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk)
Fake Out
Knock Off
Drain Punch
Wood Hammer

A bulky sweeper. The Assault Vest pairs nicely with the 4 attacking moves. Grassy surge heals it every turn and boosts Wood Hammer, and the EVs allow it to hit hard while tanking hits. Adamant allows it to hit harder than usual. Fake Out is for flinching, Knock Off is for ghosts that are immune to Fake Out, Wood Hammer is strong STAB boosted by Grassy Terrain, and Drain Punch heals Wood Hammer recoil.

Why assault vest when eviolite outclasses it entirely?

I have a couple of sets for this cheeky little monkey: one is a full on Life Orb sweeper set, the other one a stally one. Here goes!

Sweeper set:
Grookey @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 37 HP / 236 Atk / 235 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off / Focus Energy
- Drain Punch

The EVs let Grookey live a couple more hits thanks to Life Orb and/or otherwise. Swords Dance to set up if you really need to, but not always, as this Grookey's still strong. Grassy Glide is strong Physical STAB, as well as being Terrain boostes priority: this is what makes Grookey so good. Knock Off is well, Knock Off, and Focus Energy gives higher Critical Hit chances, which are really underrated; that being said, I always go for Knock Off lol. Drain Punch is strong coverage, and healing is great.

~~~~~~~~~~
This next set is the stally one. This one is still very good, so fun to use :)
Grookey @ Leftovers / Berry Juice
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 236 HP / 36 Atk / 235 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Drain Punch / Fake Out
Grassy Glide is for, as I said earlier, Physical, Terrain boosted, Priority STAB. Leech Seed saps health each turn, which is great, and Protect lets you live a hit to heal more, as well as Grassy Terrain/Leftovers healing too. Grookey's not gonna die lol. Drain Punch is for good coverage as well as healing, and Fake out flinches the opponent. I would go with Drain Punch, however, as Fake Out is usually healed most of the way with Grassy Terrain, and leftovers should the opponent have it. Just me though, do whatever you want ;). The Berry Juice is for healing all the way should your opponent manage to whittle you down.
Let me know if this helps, I hope it does!
Grookey@eviolite
Ability:grassy surge
Nature:adamant
EVs:252 HP 252 attack 4 speed
•Fake Out: make them flinch and do some damage
•Swords Dance: good attack boost
•Leech Seed: to heal him and damage a little
•Wood Hammer: powerful STAB, grassy terrain boost
Leech seed and grassy terrain heal him well so he can set up swords dance and use wood hammer. Eviolite gives him decent bulk
Grookey @ Eviolite (Extra Bulk)
196 Hp 200 Attack 36 SpD
Grassy Surge
Adamant Nature
-Fake Out
-Leech Seed
- Drain Punch
- Protect
This is mainly meant to be a health drainer. Fake Out is just for some extra damage and to flinch. Then Leech Seed, Drain Punch and Protect let this thing restore plenty of health. Grassy Surge also gives it more health as well.
Love me a good Grookey. Here's a moveset that I figured would be good.
Grookey@Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
-Grassy Glide
-Knock Off
-Drain Punch
-Acrobatics
Four of these have synergy. Grassy Surge makes Grassy Terrain, activating the Grassy Seed, consuming it and boosts your defense by one stage. Grassy Glide then gains priority (+1), and Acrobatics has its power doubled because you are no longer holding an item. As for the rest, let's start with the EVs. Attack and speed are Grookey's best stats, meaning that they're best suited as a fast physical sweeper, and those two stats should be boosted the most. HP is basically the default third EV sink. Adamant and Jolly natures both lower special attack, raising attack and speed, respectively. Lastly, for the other moves, Knock Off gets rid of the opponent's item (which is usually vital in competitive), and Drain Punch offers a strong Fighting-type move that also heals you.
Gen 8 Doubles LC
Grookey @ Eviolite
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Grassy Glide is STAB that, thanks to Grassy Surge activating Grassy Terrain, has priority. Fake Out flinches an opponent, keeping Grookey's ally safe from them while it can still attack or provide some sort of speed control. U-Turn is for pivoting, notably allowing it to escape from a Shadow Tag Gothita (yes, Shadow Tag Gothita is allowed in Doubles LC unlike in singles). Knock Off removes Eviolites and other items from opposing Pokémon. With 236 speed EVs and a Jolly nature, Grookey can often use Fake Out on an opposing Fake Out user (normally Mienfoo or opposing Grookey) before they can flinch one of your team members, assuming Trick Room isn't in effect.
