power items and breeding

do they pass down the top 2 ivs? does it work in platinum? I have a calm cranidos with 31 ivs in attack and speed and i want to pass the ivs down to a jolly one for rock polish sweeper.

You would need two cranidos or other pokemon in its egg group. If you are using a different pokemon + cranidos make sure the cranidos is female. The one with 31 atk ivs needs to hold the power item that raises attack while the breeding partner that has 31 speed evs must have the power item that raises speed. with the power items it is unfortunately impossible to 100% bypass two or more ivs.
