Well, I was breeding for a shiny vulpix, and I thought my luck would make my shiny drought. I was wrong. Is it still viable at all? I’m thinking of a set like:
Ninetales@Leftovers(?)
Ninetales
Ability:Flash Fire
Nature:Modest
EVs:252 Speed 128 Sp.Attack 128 HP
•Flamethrower
•Hex
•Will-O-Wisp
•Disable
(If you could improve the set, that would be much appreciated) it will be used for the battle tree mostly and the occasional online battle

If others on your team have a fire weakness it could be useful
I don't think there are any good reasons to use it over Blaziken in the Battle Tree.
If your luck is so bad, wait for the Crown Tundra and use the Hidden Ability Capsule.

I would run full Special Attack EVs, personally.

Anyway, I've never seen a Flash Fire Ninetales, but I think it could still be viable.

If you use it in Doubles (replace Flamethrower with Heat Wave, maybe Disable with Protect), you can have a Pokemon with a Fire type move next to it. I would suggest Prankster Will-O-Wisp Sableye, since it can get a priority Will-O-Wisp onto Ninetales and then Ninetales could use Heat Wave after the boost.

Ninetales @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hex / Nasty Plot
- Will-O-Wisp
- Heat Wave
- Protect

Sableye @ (?)
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Fake Out
- Recover

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks!!!!
No problem! Did you like my suggestions?
Yeah, I do!
Well, I'm glad XD
This EV training will be WAY easier lol
You can try lava plume too even tho it has no priority

Not the most. Viable ability, but you can use it in a double battles, where your teammate can attack Ninetales with a Fire type move, and then it doesn't deal damage and you can deal 1.5 more damage.
Now for the moveset:
As a Pure Fire type Pokemon, Ninetales has many weaknesses, although Disable might have been a better choice since most Pokemon only has one STAB move, but even out of nowhere, Ice types can have Water type moves. Ninetales can also learn Energy Ball, which also gets the -1 Special Defense drop, since most water type moves are Special, Energy Ball having a decent base power and a guaranteed drop along with Water, Rock and Ground cover should be useful.
With extra damage, Ninetales taking something like Stone Edge or Aqua Tail would be dangerous even for Ninetales.
The damage calculator says that Ninetales can use Energy ball to KO a Vaporeon in three to two hits.
I recommend a moveset like this:
Ninetales @ Leftovers/Life Orb/Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 HP / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp
- Energy Ball

I've hoped I've helped!

Specs and will o wisp? This works on rotom because it's tank but ninetails isnt, especially with those evs
Also, energy ball isn't guarenteed drop, only 10 percent
