Can I fly on latios in alpha sapphire?

I know latios is an Omega ruby exclusive, but can you trade it over to alphas sapphire and then soar on it there?

Once the Eon Flute is used, Latias (AS) or Latios (OR) will come to the player's side and Mega Evolve.

I believe this means you can only fly Latias in Alpha Sapphire.
