PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

Okay, so from what I know the repeat ball works based on the fact that a Pokemon is registered as having been owned in your pokedex. With that being said, there are a decent amount of Pokemon in sword and shield not listed in the pokedex itself, so would a repeat ball still work? Thanks in advance!

How would you catch a Pokemon that's not in the Pokedex? It's impossible to encounter Pokemon like Incineroar or Terrakion in the wild without hacking.
Depends on which Pokédex they mean.

I mean as in pokemon like, for example Venosaur. I didn't have the dlcs so I wasn't aware if there was a separate pokedex or if they just weren't included in a pokedex at all.

Alright, I did a bit of research and made this topic on GameFAQs.

The responses I got basically said that if you somehow manage to get something like Necrozma in the wild, the Repeat Ball will not give you the multiplier. Anything in the standard Galar or Isle of Armor Dexes can receive the multiplier, however.

Hope I helped!

I appreciate this. I wasn't aware if there was a separate pokedex with the dlc so I was curious as to how it would work for pokemon that aren't in the original pokedex for the game itself.
