What are the chances of Latias legitimately spawning as shiny in Pokemon ORAS?

I'm asking cuz I've never encountered a wild shiny and on the first time I successfully have played Alpha Sapphire my Latias was red in the overworld and yellow once we battled. This is my first shiny capture in the wild. Highly excited

You can't have the Shiny Charm at that point in the game, so it's the regular 1/4096 chance.
