How does the swsh dlc work on a physical copy of the game?

I found a physical copy of shield with the expansion pass which I'm gonna get before getting a switch. Aside from the product name having the words 'expansion pass' in it, I think this is the real thing since the boxart has Urshifu and whoever this green balloon head Pokemon is

If the swsh dlcs are anything like other game dlcs, then I imagine that when the IoA and CT were released, you download some stuff if you have the pass to access its contents. With this, my question is, if I get this physical copy that comes with the pass, will the dlc stuff already be there or will it still have to be downloaded?

The main game and the DLC would both be automatically on the cartridge. You wouldn't have to download anything.

According to this:

This bundle pack contains the same game content you would receive by purchasing either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield (physical or downloadable version) and the corresponding Expansion Pass separately. All included software comes preloaded on a single game card.
