Nat Dex AG
Here's the Set:

Yveltal @ Assault Vest
Ability: Dark Aura
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hidden Power [Poison]
- Dark Pulse
- Heat Wave
- Oblivion Wing

Can you guys also suggest a team that can support it? I tried making one, I won't say its bad but its not good either.
Thanks for the response.

You'll probably get a better answer if you ask here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/national-dex-ag-mega-thread.3672423/
I see, will do. Thanks
@sumwun Always redirecting to Smogon isn't beneficial. There are players in this site which might play the tier the question asks for, if it doesn't get any answer in a day or something, then you can ask them to go to Smogon.
I agree with CM, especially for Nat Dex teams.
It's not like I'm closing these questions. If someone posts a good answer here, I think the asker will still see it regardless of whether I post that comment about Smogon.

Not really; other items are far better for it.

Assault Vest does nothing that the usual Heavy-Duty Boots sets can’t. You won’t be happy with the “reduced” damage, as you’ll be taking a chunk fro hazards anyways, so you’re gonna get worn down way too quickly as non-Life Orb Oblivion Wing is very weak. You’ll be missing on both the offensive and defensive prowess of the Yveltal, and I personally won’t ever recommend it. While HP [Poison] does help a bit, Ho-Oh is one of the best Pokémon there anyways can can shuffle you around. Life Or Dynamax sweeper Yveltal is a far better offensive set, and Heavy-Duty Boots would always be the premier defensive set.
I’ll show some calcs to prove my point of the damage reduction being useless with Assault Vest:

252 SpA Life Orb Calyrex-Shadow Astral Barrage vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Yveltal: 104-122 (26.4 - 31%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

While,

252 SpA Life Orb Calyrex-Shadow Astral Barrage vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Yveltal: 110-131 (24.1 - 28.7%) -- 98.9% chance to 4HKO

So the calcs are, obviously, golden on the Heavy-Duty Boots side, and the offensive ones aren’t impressive too:

+1 252+ SpA Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 52 SpD Ho-Oh: 190-225 (45.7 - 54.2%) -- 53.1% chance to 2HKO

While,

252+ SpA Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 52 SpD Ho-Oh: 165-196 (39.6 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Both are almost a 3HKO, and with Life Orb you can Taunt the Ho-Oh too, limiting it a lot.

In the end, I’ll suggest that you go for Life Orb for the offensive sets or Heavy-Duty Boots for the defensive ones.
Hope it helped!

I see, Thanks alot. May I ask though, if I managed to prevent rocks from getting up on my side, Will AV Yvel be worth?
Or its still outclassed by the Lorb and Boots set?
Also, Yea Ho-Oh is a big problem, but if i partner it with a heavy-hitter such as Mray/Zacian-C/Xerneas, Won't that also fix the Ho-Oh problem?
It just amazes me that at +1 SpA with AV, it can 1V1 Lorb Dmax Yveltal, Ditto, and Non Lorb Caly-S at +2 If healthy enough.
Thanks for the Response, Have a nice day.
No, actually. HDB is better than AV almost always except for some rare scenarios, and we can't calc without Rocks up if we're calcing for counters. You can pair it but they can just stall out the Dynamax turns with Ho-Oh + Yveltal (+ Zacian-C too sometimes), and then Ho-Oh would shuffle it.
Happy to help, and please ignore some minor typos I tend to ignore a few :pensive:.
I see, Thanks a lot. Nw, I don't mind them lol. Have a good day
