Gen V

Weezing (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Clear Smog
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunder
- Fire Blast

Clear Smog is a nice move that does damage and removes the opponents stat modifications (however, it does not remove the attack drop from burn.) This is a very handy move to have, and it even gets STAB. Will-o-wisp burns the foe, reducing their Attack and making Weezing bulkier. Fire Blast deals with the Steel types who are immune to Clear Smog. Thunder is for use in Rain, as Rain will reduce the effectiveness of Fire Blast on Steel types. Note also that in the Sun, Thunder decreases in accuracy, but Fire Blast increases in power. The EVs give Weezing bulk (as does Black Sludge) and a decent enough Special Attack stat. Your Special Attack still won't be amazing, but the high base power for Thunder and Fire Blast makes up for that.

Black Sludge
I'm getting lazy so I'm just commenting... xD

Here's one I just thought up (haven't tested yet). I call it the wrecking wall.

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 152 HP / 54 Def / 152 SpD / 152 Spe
Bold / Careful Nature
- Infestation
- Stockpile
- Spite
- Toxic Spikes / Pain Split / Sludge Bomb

Start with Stockpile to set up you wallness. You can use Infestation to slowly whittle down your opponent's health while draining away their move set with Spite. The last move is really up to you, though Toxic Spikes could potentially wreck it up for your opponent.

Role: Physical Wall
Weezing
Weezing (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Def / 160 SpA
Bold Nature
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower / Sludge Bomb / Thunderbolt
- Haze / Clear Smog

This is the set I use in my Hail team. Pain Split recovers off damage, and is really nice when you predict their switch into a fully health Pokemon, and get all your HP back.

Will-O-Wisp cripples physical Pokemon, which is what this set is all about: Physical Walling.

Flamethrower is nice for coverage. Just add whatever coverage you need for your team. You can also use Hidden Power if Weezing doesn't have the type you need.

I like to use Haze because it affects all types. However, it gets blocked by Taunt. Clear Smog gets STAB and does damage, but doesn't work on Steel types.

Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb

Role: Tank
Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 12 HP / 32 Def / 20 SpA / 252 SpD / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Stockpile
- Sludge Wave
- Destiny Bond

  • Dark Pulse (used to deal with Psychic types)
  • Stockpile (converts him into an amazing wall)
  • Sludge Wave (STAB)
  • Destiny Bond (even though it doesnt have priority, it should outspeed and take some thing down with it)

Role: Physical Sponge

Weezing @ Black Sludge

weezing
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb / Clear Smog
- Pain Split
- Flamethrower / Thunderbolt / Toxic Spikes

=====Explanation=====

Weezing is a premier physical wall in NU! With a pure Poison-typing, it is capable of tanking hits from Fighting-types, such as Hariyama, and also walls Fairy-types, such as Granbull.
Although Weezing has not seen much usage since the ban of Surpluff and M-Lopunny, it is still a good wall in NU.

Will-O-Wisp cripples Physical attackers and further boosts Weezing's Defense (indirectly).

Sludge Bomb gets STAB and has excellent power. Clear Smog on the other hand ruins the plans of set-up sweepers. Here, Sludge Bomb is the superior option because it has higher power.

Pain Split is Weezing's only form of recovery and works well with its low HP.

Flamethrower provides coverage against Steel-types and Ice-types, such as Pawniard and Sneasel (respectively).
Note: Flamethrower is the superior option (over Fire Blast) on this set because the exchange between power and accuracy generally does not fit Weezing's playstyle.
Thunderbolt does not hit any specific threats but works as good coverage if you need it.
Weezing can set up T-Spikes effectively and can be used to wear down the opposing team.

Weezing
Weezing @ Black Sludge / Papaya Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Calm Nature
- Dark Pulse / Sludge Bomb
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Stockpile

This is a stalling Weezing for NU, but watch out for Beheeyem and Jynx, which is why you could have a Papaya Berry to weaken the damage from a Psychic attack. The EV spread is to always survive a hit from a Choice Specs Beheeyem. Dark Pulse is for coverage and Pain Split works nice with Will-O-Wisp and Stockpile to stall it out.
Black Sludge can be used if you are confident about facing Psychic-types. Can use Toxic Spikes Support

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA
Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Toxic Spikes

Sludge Bomb as its primary attacking STAB. Will-O-Wisp to burn opponent and cripple their Attack. Pain Split as a utility move and Toxic Spikes to hopefully badly poison opponents switching in.

Gen 8 PU

Weezing @ Black Sldge
Ability: Levitate / Neutralizing Gas
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpD
Bold Nature

  • Toxic Spikes
  • Flamethrower
  • Taunt
  • Will-O-Wisp / Corrosive Gas / Pain Split

Toxic Spikes poisons or badly poisons most switch-ins. Flamethrower hits Steel types which are immune to Toxic Spikes. Taunt stops Stealth Rock, Defog, set-up, or something else. Will-O-Wisp to shut down physical attackers and for chip damage. Corrosive Gas removes items, mainly Heavy-Duty Boots. Pain Split may look weird on a set that focuses on residual damage, but it provides Weezing with valuable healing in the early-mid game.

I'd say Fire Blast > Flamethrower, as it got better power, and well it *almost* always hits...
Or u can do Flamethrower / Fire Blast and let the prsn who uses the set decide :/
Flamethrower has more PP and higher accuracy, which is better for a defensive Pokemon.

Gen 8 PU

Weezing @ Assault Vest / Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 60 SpA / 176 SpD / 20 Spe
Calm / Modest Nature

  • Sludge Bomb
  • Flamethrower
  • Thunder / Thunderbolt
  • Dark Pulse / Toxic Spikes

Sludge Bomb is STAB and can poison. Flamethrower covers Steel types. Thunder is powerful with a good paralysis rate, while Thunderbolt is weaker and has a smaller chance to paralyze, but is more accurate. Dark Pulse covers Weezing's only remaining weakness, Psychic. Toxic Spikes poisons or badly poisons Pokemon switching in, and Flamethrower and Thunder/Thunderbolt cover Steel types and Flying types, both of which are immune to T-Spikes.

Remember, Toxic Spikes will fail if Weezing's held item is Assault Vest, so if you decide to use them, use Black Sludge as the item instead.

Gen 7 NU

Weezing @ Electrium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower
- Thunder / Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass] / Pain Split

An offensive set that can surprise Xatu and Slowking varients. Sludge Wave is STAB. Flamethrower is coverage against steel types. Thunder is used for Electrium Z for Gigavolt Havoc. Thunderbolt can be used instead for more accuracy, but is a little weaker. HP Grass is for dealing with ground types like Rhydon and Seismitoad. Pain Split can be used instead for healing.
