Do Static and Magnet Pull work in Friend Safari?

Question

I’m planning on hunting Pawniard in Friend Safari, and I want to know if Magnet Pull would work. Same with Static, but I’m not hunting any mons that would get the higher spawn rate rn.

I doubt it, because of the fact that you pick the type you want before you start the safari.

But Pawniard appears on Dark type friend safaris, so the other Pokemon that will be in the Safari with it are not also Steel Type, so Magnet Pull could potentially work

Yeah I guess.  I just don't see how we could tell if magnet pull is actually effecting things.

A dark type friend Safari with Pawniard
A Pokemon with magnet pull in your party

Because it would either make the Pawniard have a much higher spawn rate than the other dark types in it's safari, or would have no effect at all
