Why can't I nickname Runerigus, Cofagrigus?

I tried naming a Runerigus, Cofagrigus on my first Sword playthrough but it didn't work?

Does that even make a difference? It’s most likely because of the slur.

You cannot name Runerigus “Cofagrigus” because it has a slur in its name. Even if it’s a Pokémon name it is counted as a Nickname and has to follow the rules for one.

It is for XY but it is unlikely that it is different from the Switch’s censor list seeing they are the same company
