How can egg moves be taught in Scarlet/Violet?

Question

I am new to Pokemon and I want to build a set for Grafaiai. I need parting shot but I noticed its an egg move that can be transferred through parenthood in breeding. OK but how to I teach the parents? Can a wild Pokemon already learn egg move? In that case I have to farm for a male Grafaiai with Parting Shot? I've already tried but didn't find any.

You find a compatible male parent to your Grafaiai, as in someone in the same egg group, that has Parting Shot as a move.

thx!! The only pokemon that can just ''learn'' parting shot is bombirdier tho wich isnt the same egg type can i transfer it to something to get to grafaiai ? He is field type ..

I think that's the only thing that could work, cause Bombirdier can't get Parting Shot to Grafaiai any other way

I believe you can teach your grafaiai parting shot buy catching a bomberdier that knows parting shot,  give a mirror herb to the bomberdier (I am not sure if both need to have a mirror herb) camp and wait. After about 2 mins your grafaiai should know parting shot. Please note that your grafaiai needs to have a empty ‘move slot’.

Learning Egg Moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the easiest it’s ever been in the history of the series. In order to learn an Egg Move, simply have the Pokemon whose move you want to pass on, and the Pokemon who you want to learn the move in your party together.
Then, start a Picnic, and just like that, the move will be passed on to the Pokemon. It’s really that easy. Now, crucially, if you overwrite the move with another move, the Egg Move won’t be part of the Pokemon’s move list, meaning you’d need to relearn the Egg Move.

does the pokemon that you don't give the mirror herb have to have just the move or does it work with what the mirror herb holder can learn?

It will only work if the move you want you teach can is an egg move on the second Pokemon

Step 1: give the Pokémon that already has the move you want to pass on the Mirror Herb item.

Optional: delete other moves on the Pokémon that already has the move to avoid possible mistakes.

Step 2: free up a move slot on the Pokémon that is learning the move. It does not need to hold any specific item.

Step 3: host a picnic with both Pokémon in your party.

The move should now be known by both Pokémon.
