Gosh I know exactly what you're talking about.
They're the Gen 1 Menu sprites. I know that most if not all of them are modeled after Pokemon, but I can't find a source that shows exactly what they're supposed to be. So here are my thoughts: Going in order from the ones you see on the ground while going up, we got Clefairy, (boo from super Mario or Kirby-nah I'm just joking) the Surf icon which I assume to represent water pokemon, Rhydon, (the fire flower from Super Mario-nah I'm just kidding) what looks like a plant thing which I assume to be Bellsprout or something, some snake which looks like it could be Ekans or Dratini, Tauros, the bird one which I always associate with Pidgey, the thing that looks like the Helix fossil, so it could be Omanyte, and then the bug which looks like a Ledyba if we're being honest here but that wasn't in Gen 1 but maybe it was one of the scrapped mons so I dunno what it's supposed to be.
However, do note that I have not played gen 1, so most of these are just guesses.
Yeah,  those were my guesses as well, as I have never played gen1, cause the game boy WAAAAAY outdates me, and I was like six when the 3ds was still cool, and red/blue/green/yellow aren't out on the Nintendo switch online yet. So the closest thing I've played to any of them is lge.

Most of these sprites appear around Alfornada. I don't know which ones do, nor do I know which sprites are assigned to which Pokemon.

*In Red and Blue, Pikachu and Raichu use the Fairy sprite, whereas in yellow, they use a Pikachu menu sprite unique to them. This sprite doesn't appear on the Alfornada battle court though.
**This sprite also doesn't appear anywhere on the Alfornada battle court
