Does jumping and swimming count as steps in S/V?

I found that swimming and gliding count as steps. I don’t know how much and I still don’t know about jumping.

It could be distance although I would imagine jumping will not count

I'm pretty sure that swimming counts, but both aerial travel methods don't count. This is only from hundreds of eggs hatched for shinies, but sprinting is the quickest regardless.

Can you be more specific about what tests you did? This is helpful in case someone wants to reproduce the result.

it counts, I dont know how much but if flying your egg can't hatch but it will the second you touch the ground, it will hatch (I know your not hatching eggs - but an interesting interaction) If you are swimming though then the egg will hatch in some sort of arceus dimension? (just watercolors),
Note: I am using eggs as an example because they need a certain number of steps, and pawmo cant swim
