Can you transfer Pokemon of different languages of origin between generations for Masuda Method?

So I have a Japanese version of leaf green and I thought to myself hey I can get Japanese dittos from this game send up to gen 4 and so on, and attempt doing the masuda method but here’s the thing would that actually work?? Like will my Japanese ditto from my leaf green be considered a Japanese ditto still if I transfer it to gen 4 and so on?? Or does it not work that way, I currently have all generations of Pokémon games English version and I have two gen 3 Japanese version of sapphire and leaf green

If two Pokémon are bred that both originate from different languages, any Eggs they produce are more likely to be Shiny.

Language of origin is retained during transfer, so this would work under normal circumstances, however...

The games themselves have to be of the same language for transfer to work (aside from Korean, since Gen 3 wasn't officially released, there), so no, Pal Park won't work.

Prior to Gen VI, you can only transfer Pokemon to games that share the same language. However you can trade your Japanese Pokemon to an English Gen 3 game and then transfer if that is an option, and language of origin will be retained.
