Why didn’t my Pokemon get poisoned when attacking into Baneful Bunker?

So I was playing hackmons cup and I had a Pokemon that used mighty cleave and opposing Pokemon used baneful bunker but I didn’t get poisoned.
I didn’t have any items that ignore the secondary effect So why it happened

what pokemon did you use?

Mighty Cleave is one of the moves that ignores protection, so it can't run into Baneful Bunker.
