Does Anger Point activate if the target is immune to the move?

Anyone know if a move activates Anger Point if the target is immune to the type that the move is?

Move-based Abilities generally do not proc when the move fails to land, and Anger Point is no exception. The Ability's bearer will not gain the Attack boost if it's targeted with a move its immune to.
