Title is self explanatory. Why does alolan-Ninetales outclass it? It has pretty decent bulk (bolstered by snow now) Access to both Blizzard and Freeze Dry, explosion for pivoting out, taunt for stopping hazard setters or set up sweepers and aurora veil? I get Ninetales is faster but Vanillux has more utility apart from maybe hypnosis. And plus Vanillux is slow meaning it could underspeed things like Pelipper to ensure its snow gets set up.

It’s still faster than Pelipper so that wouldn’t work. It’s also too slow, as leads such as Glimmora and Landorus-T will still get hazards down before it can Taunt, and Lando-T can predict Aurora Veil and Taunt.
A9 (Alolan Ninetales) has a good speed stat, making it outspeed common leads like Lando-T and Gliscor and have a 100% Accurate Blizzard because of snow to hit them. It also has stuff like Encore to trap the opponent into a hazard or setup move, Moonblast for another reliable STAB move, and Grudge, which is honestly just a gimmick but it can be useful. Haven't played a lot of Nat Dex recently so there might be some flaws here so if anyone finds something, tell me please.
Adding to the others...  mono-Ice is horrendously poor typing.  Offensively, it's rather strong, with a wide array of high damage moves carrying a surprising amount of utility for how hard they hit.  But defensively, Ice only resists itself. while taking Super Effective from Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel, all types commonly used for both coverage and STABs.
Vanillux is just in the shadow of Alolan Ninetails
owh waow
Do you want this question back on the unanswered list?
Idk Thomas’s answer is fine it’s just not specific, is it okay to leave it up to the mods

Trying to play defensively with an Ice type is really bad. Even if you outspeed with Autotomize, there is no recovery. There are way better Ice types, which benefit from being a dual type and having a better movepools for diversity. The only trait Vanilluxe has is either hit hard with Choice Specs or being a supporter to other Ice types.

Other ice Pokemon don't have recovery either. Which ice Pokemon are better, and how do they benefit from their other type or movepools? Why do the advantages mentioned in the question not matter?
By other ice Pokemon don't have recovery, are you talking about viable Ice-types within the NatDex OU meta, or in general?
