So, I’m trying to shiny hunt Rowlett in Pokémon Ultra sun, and I’m using the medusa method to do it, and after about half a box worth of eggs, I’m not getting any more eggs. I even tried changing to a different rowlett, and it didn’t work. anybody know why this is? I think there might be a limit on eggs that resets daily, but I don’t know.

Edit: I have a male rowlett and a ditto in the breeding center

Edit #2: I just replaced the ditto with a female rowlett and it worked

Double check to make sure you have a male and female Rowlet in the daycare. There’s no daily limit on eggs
It's probably just taking a while for another egg to get ready, try running around some more in Tauros, then return to the daycare.
"Whether or not an egg is produced is decided ever 256 steps you take, so if you're standing still, nothing will happen."
"Aside from what is said about your Pokemon, the chance an egg has to appear every 256 steps can be determined by what two Pokemon are being bred:

If the Pokemon are the same species and have different OTs, the chance is 70% (88% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are the same species and have matching OTs, the chance is 50% (80% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are different species and have different OTs, the chance is 50% (80% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are different species and have matching OTs, the chance is 20% (40% with the Oval Charm)"

Your Ditto didn't stop producing eggs, it probably just had a low chance of producing eggs. I can't speak for that because I don't know the OT's of all your Pokemon. So yeah, literally just do more riding around on Tauros to get more steps.
Medusa Method.... Staring at your Pokemon until they turn to stone

Ditto and Rowlet never stopped breeding, they probably just had a low chance of producing an egg based on their OT and species.

Whether or not an egg is produced is decided ever 256 steps you take, so if you're standing still, nothing will happen.

Aside from what is said about your Pokemon, the chance an egg has to appear every 256 steps can be determined by what two Pokemon are being bred:

If the Pokemon are the same species and have different OTs, the chance is 70% (88% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are the same species and have matching OTs, the chance is 50% (80% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are different species and have different OTs, the chance is 50% (80% with the Oval Charm)
If the Pokemon are different species and have matching OTs, the chance is 20% (40% with the Oval Charm)

Source.

So yeah, the solution to this is pretty much to ride around on Tauros to get more steps. Assuming you're doing the Masuda Method correctly and both Pokemon have different OTs, your highest chances of getting an egg are 70% (88% with Oval Charm) or 50% (80% with Oval Charm), depending on whether or not you're using the same species or different species.

Hopefully this helped and you get your shiny Rowlet.
