How to re-encounter Zacian/Zamazenta after KOing it?

Question

I am under the impression that after having KO'd Zacian/Zamazenta, it may be encountered again once rebattling the championship cup trainers & champion, and after credits, then perhaps we go back to the tower summit where it will be respawned. Please validate.

*update* The solution is, to revisit Slumbering Weald, then follow dynamax stadiums story, then visit Heddington, battle some tall guy, then finally be brought back to tower summit. Zamazenta is there a second time.

iirc the game doesn't do that. You visit slumbering weald before ever fighting Zacian/Zamazenta at the top of Hammerlocke tower

Okay CreatineRealLife, here's your answer.

No need to panic, Zacian/Zamazenta shouldn't despawn at all should you accidentally defeat it. The battle will end with a text box displaying "Zacian/Zamazenta was testing you", and you'll be able to re-battle the Legendary Pokemon as many times as you'd like.

That is not true. I encountered Zamazenta, then KO'd Zamazenta, then saw it in my Pokedex, and it is not caught, and there is no revolving battle nor "testing you" message. The Pokemon is gone!! Because somebody is failing to tell me accurately how to get it respawned.
