I need want to challenge league four in black white 2. I had a Nidoqueen, I don't know if I should use Nidoking instead. Somehow my game is harder than the usual game, so I need a good decision here. I have three strong attackers, only one special attacker yet. Here is the information Nidoqueen and Nidoking.
Nidoqueen Ability: Sheer Force Nature: Lonely EVs: Attack 167 /SpeD 145 / SpA 135
Nidoking Ability: Rivalry Nature: Lax EVs: Attack 121 /SpeD 105 / SpA 125
Physical Attack comparison, assuming level 50
121 Atk Rivalry buffed Nidoking Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 78-93 (52 - 62%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 121 Atk Rivalry nerfed Nidoking Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 48-57 (32 - 38%) -- 89.1% chance to 3HKO 121 Atk Nidoking Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 63-75 (42 - 50%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO 167+ Atk Sheer Force Nidoqueen Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 69-82 (46 - 54.6%) -- 57.8% chance to 2HKO 167+ Atk Nidoqueen Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 67-79 (44.6 - 52.6%) -- 20.3% chance to 2HKO
Special Attack comparison
135 SpA Sheer Force Nidoqueen Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kingdra: 46-55 (30.6 - 36.6%) -- 63.4% chance to 3HKO 125 SpA Nidoking Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kingdra: 38-45 (25.3 - 30%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
As you can see from the above calculations, Nidoqueen has both higher physical and special attacking power when using a move boosted by Sheer Force. It also has marginally better durability. Nidoking's Rivalry ability is more likely to be harmful then helpful when facing the Unova elite four because there are more female Pokemon than male. However if both of them had Sheer Force than Nidoking would be better because of its higher offensive stats. For these reasons, I think your Sheer Force Nidoqueen is better than Rivalry Nidoking for facing the Unova Elite four.
