In Pokémon Legends: Z-A All status conditions have been changed due to the new battling style. The most notable is the modification of sleep, turning into "drowsy". This is the only one that had its name changed. Here is a comparison between the effects of Legends: Z-A's status conditions and S/V status conditions:

  • S/V:
  • Burn: The burned Pokémon take 1/8 of its maximum HP in damage at the end of every turn and its physical Attack stat is temporarily halved. Burning does NOT halve Special Attack.
    • Confusion: When the Confused Pokémon uses a move, it has a 33% chance to damage itself. The damage is equivalent to that of a 40 power, typeless, physical move.
    • Sleep: The sleeping Pokémon is prevented from using moves for a randomly generated amount of turns between 1 and 3.
    • Frozen: The frozen Pokémon is cannot use moves or items until they are thawed. There is a 20% that the Frozen Pokémon will thaw at the end of each turn.
    • Paralyzed: The paralyzed Pokémon's speed is reduced by 50% and when it uses a move, it has a 25% chance to not work due to the paralysis.
    • Poisoned: The poisoned Pokémon loses 1/8 of its max health at the end of every turn.
    • Badly Poisoned: The badly poisoned Pokémon will lose health at the end of every turn, starting at 1/16 of its max health and raising by 1/16 every subsequent turn.

  • PLZA:
    • Burn: The Pokémon will gradually lose HP over time and its physical moves are weakened.
    • Confusion: The Pokémon will behave strangely in battle, such as not returning to you in a straight line.
    • Drowsy: The Pokémon's moves have increased cooldown time after being used.
    • Frozen: The Pokémon will be unable to move or attack for a limited time. Certain moves will thaw it out.
    • Paralyzed: The Pokémon's movement speed is reduced.
    • Poisoned: The Pokémon will gradually lose HP over time. This reduces even when the Pokémon is not in battle but is out on the field.
    • Badly Poisoned:

Toxic has the same multiplicative effect as in past games. It damages the target at a pretty consistent 3 second interval, but based on my observations I would not call it a hard three-second rule. Though, these observations may be impacted by subtle dips in the game's performance. I'm playing on an original Switch after all.

ok (I just slapped your comment in there)
Are burn and poison damage for SV the wrong way around?
burn and regular poison both deal 1/8 per turn since gen 2.
