Is Shiny Gengar possible without trade in Legends: Z-A?

Question

I know you can get a gengar without trading by getting one from main mission 20: ‘A request from the Rust Syndicate’ where you enter a building and there are 2 gengar’s waiting as a static encounter that you are supposed to get rid of.

Thing is, since they are static encounters, can they be shiny? I know static encounters like the legendaries and starters can’t, but do these count too?

When I walk in and out of the building their gender does fluctuate, their level doesn’t and I do not know about that stats.

I want to get a shiny mega gengar without trading.

Based on this research https://nitter.net/Sibuna_Switch/status/1978816201141723357 the Gengar from the mission are shiny locked. Don't know if there's another way.

Means no shiny gengar possible for me without having to spend money on online, and even then i’d need somebody

Yeah, sorry, I will look this up sometime to confirm. These, from a first glance, definitely do seem to be static, and therefore shiny locked for sure.
