Why is everyone picking Totodile in ZA? [closed]

Question

IGN put out a poll recently asking people which starter people picked in Legends ZA, and 57% of people said the Big Jaw Pokemon. I was/am part of that army yet I'm still surprised more people didn't pick Chikorita and especially Tepig given how popular/good it was in Unova. Help me feel like I'm not basic please.

I think cuz Totodile is cuter than Chikorita (In my opinion) and Tepig is solid, but Mega Feraligatr just... looks really cool when it attacks. Good question, though.
